Summary

Introduced with the Australian Border Force Bill 2015, the bill: repeals the

Customs Administration Act 1985
to abolish the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service and the statutory office of the Chief Executive Officer of Customs; amends the
Migration Act 1958
to enable the Australian Border Force Commissioner to exercise certain powers; amends the
Work Health and Safety Act 2011
to enable the commissioner to make a declaration that restricts or modifies the application of specified provisions; and makes consequential amendments to 58 Acts.
